Liberty Hill Sculpture Festival celebrates 50 years
This year's festival marks the 50th anniversary of the 1976 International Sculpture Symposium that started Liberty Hill's sculpture tradition. From Wednesday, Oct. 7, through Saturday, Oct. 10, you can stop by Lions Foundation Park and watch sculptors carve a new permanent piece for the Liberty Hill International Sculpture Park.
The main festival is Saturday, Oct. 10, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with live music, sculpting demos, park tours, a fun run, a pet costume contest, a kids' craft tent and inflatables, and vendors from The Market LHTX.
Abbey's take: The kids' zone and pet costume contest make this an easy family morning. Get there early for parking.
